ReplyDeleteThe game doesn't work on rooted devices. Square-Enix updated the listing for the game on the Google Play Store to say as much. Sucks for people like me who are rooted and actually paid for the game.

Works perfectly on my rooted skyrocket running sky ics. Thank you so much for this.I bought ff3 to support se but seeing what they did with this game I will never buy their games again. Eeven ff and crystal defenders are quick and cheap ports from ios. They ovbiously don't think much of android and are ill informed, releasing these games for quick cash. This was just a huge dick move and although I've been growing annoyed of se for the last few years this really does it for me.

DeleteYup, needs wifi or any internet access, but I managed to get a mod version of this game, so I don't need internet connection or anything to play this game, but forget it... the screen is too big for our device. Just be patient until they release the proper Qvga version... yeah...

The fixed apk doesnt work on non rooted devices. I'm using SGSIII and it does the first varify of 2000+ files then every time I press to to start it does a varify file check of about 176 files then force closes.

ReplyDelete1. If you have the original apk (The original apk posted when the game was new)... Install it on a ROOTED device. I used my friend's rooted galaxy mini for this. Nevermind the data files for this.
2. Then download and install the newest lucky patcher on the rooted device (Lucky Patcher 2.2.6).
3. Patch the game to remove the license verification.
4. Now the new Lucky Patcher is able to create a patched (cracked) apk. Create the new apk.
5. Install this new apk on your unrooted device. This is a long process.
This is a really crude way since im not a hacker. I need to restart the game a few times before it runs. But I am already enjoying the game. Cheers.

ReplyDeleteMy phone is unrooted SGSIII and the game now works since I installed superuser and did nothing else.
Yeap did that, and it works like a charm your a genius. my only problem now is the graphics are pretty messed up, like the people are standing on walls and the text are not in the bubbles when they are talking.

No. Superuser can't do anything if you're not rooted. I'm rooted and I already had superuser, and the game kept crashing. I downloaded the superuser from the market, and now it works.

Any have troubles with the 0-100% problem, just solved it by creating a folder with the SDCard/Android/Obb/ directory. Since for some reason i didnt have the folder, downloaded started soon after (with a installed version of super user)

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, The torrent's apk file seems to be in chinees, but the first link on this page above, has it in english.
When i tried to start the game i got some errors.
I fixed it by switching my internet data connection on(not from wi-fi)cause sometimes it wants to be connected to the internet for some reason, and also it seems that some devices wants the sd data folder in the ANDROID/OBB/ folder not in the sdcard/android/obb/ if you don't have it, then create one.
NOTE that i've tried this with Sony Xperia S 4.0.
I also had this exact problem with Final Fantasy III and I fixed it the same way. Hope this helps.

Anyway, here's what I did:
My phone is unrooted btw - Samsung Galaxy S
DLed "Superuser" to PC , thanks ThugETH ;)
DLed from the torrent provided the "data files" and unzipped
DLed the modded chaos rings .apk for offline play, google it, I got it from utube
Connected the phone to my PC with the usb cable
made an "obb" file under "Android", not in the SD card. Thanks Anonymous above for the tip :)
Copied the unzipped data folder in the obb file.
Copied the modded chaos rings .apk and the superuser app.
Installed superuser first, then modded chaos rings.
Waited for the file check to finish, then play.
Game plays perfect now, the only annoying thing is the filecheck every time.

i got it to run on my sister galaxy y today and played it but the games resolution doesn't seem to fit on the phone. so i played it and i decided to take a break so i closed the app. by the time i wanted to play again i run the app and waited for the file check to finish but when its done i got stuck at 0% Under download and it doesn't load at all. so i decided to reinstall the game but i still get the same result :(. on the other hand on my phone i formatted my phone memory and sd card but still no luck at all D:.
